Who, What and How You Can Help Support The Foundation

WHO

Institutional Contributions -
 From other charitable foundations, churches, corporations and businesses that may wish to fund key projects, designated programs and/or scholarships.

Major Donors - Nonprofits, organizations or individuals who may wish to offer major funding for key projects, donor-designated programs and/or scholarships, or for use as unrestricted funds.

Small Donors - Individuals who may wish to donate smaller amounts as donor-designated funds in support of a specified school program or project.

WHAT

Classroom Text Book Purchase Program - over the last twenty years, many student text books have not been kept current with the many changes in the way curriculum is taught.  In order to teach to state standards, new text books need to be adopted (some where last adopted in 1985) and purchased.  Donors may designate what school there funds go will go to for the purchase of new books.  Special Donor Cards are available - by contacting the foundation by email at: director@coquilleef.com using the Feedback Form on the left side panel of this site. 

Annual Donations - Contributions from individuals, nonprofits, corporations, churches, or other businesses that may wish to donate annual or semi-annual at specific times as donor designated, specific projects or programs, or as unrestricted fund to be managed by the Foundation.

Equity Fund - Money directed to this fund will assist all schools in the district.

Development Fund - Supports the foundation in its operations and program development as it apply to fundraising activities.  

Restricted Funds - Supports schools, classrooms and programs that are specified by the donors.  The foundation is open to donor choices.

Annuity Fund - Supports student scholarship funding from annual interest paid on the total in the annuity account.

Signature Grants - Used for on-going programs that are funded on an annual basis.

Impact Grants - Used for classroom-based grants, providing teachers an opportunity to provide educational activities that directly engage students both inside and outside the classroom setting.

HOW

Cash - is not recommended, but if provided please identify you name, address, and where you want the funds to go.

Checks - Until we receive our 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status, checks should be made payable to The Coquille School District (fir tax deduction purposes) with a notation to be used for "Coquille Education Foundation Programs) or a category that you have selected.  Checks can be mailed to the Coquille Education Foundation, 790 W. 17th Street, Suite 4, Coquille, OR 
97423 or the Coquille School District at 790 w. 17th Street, Coquille, OR 97423.  Write "Attention Business Manager" on the outside of the envelope.

Gifts of Stocks - Donors should contact Terry Schwerdtfeger, President at (541) 396-3333. or by email at director@coquilleef.com

Planned Gifts - Donors should contact Terry Schwerdtfeger, President at (541) 396-3333 or by email at director@coquilleef.com

Donors should also seek legal advice - to assure your gift goes to where you want it to go.

Monthly Donations - Can be made through on-line bill paying at your bank, small monthly donations can help establish a stable funding source.  A simple $5.00, $10, $20 or more a month can do wonders for Coquille Kids.
